January 23, 2009: "LIVING DEAD" FIGURES FINALLY HERE!

Finally, after almost a year, our GRAVEYARD ZOMBIE and BEN action figures have finally arrived and are on their way to customers.

Retailers who ordered through Diamond should be receiving their shipments now, and any that were direct-ordered through EMCE, Dr. Mego, the Dread Central Evilshop or Fearwerx.com will be receiving theirs within days. Those figs are in-house at our East Coast warehouse and being packed for shipping RIGHT NOW!

We'd like to thank all of you who pre-ordered the figures earlier this year and we hope the toys live up to their expectations. They're personal favorites of ours (or we would never have done them) and we look forward to playing with them when we're done shipping!

Here are some pics of the figures, fresh from the case!

January 2009: "LIVING DEAD" FIGURES FINALLY ARRIVING!

Yes, that's right, JANUARY 2009.

Almost a year after we announced the launch of the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD figures, they're finally arriving in the U.S. In fact, they are supposed to hit the port of L.A. sometime the day after we write this, and they should be on shelves shortly after.

This has been one HELL of a year to be in the toy business, and for those of us who are relatively new (compared to many of our associates), it was a trial by fire. Between the issues with Chinese factories making the news (not our factory, of course, who are splendid people, hard workers and play by all sorts of - expensive - rules), spikes in raw materials pricing, labor shortages, and our obligation to get out the STAR TREK toys for our partners at Diamond, it's been mind-boggling to realize that it took 10 months to get these two figures out.

So finally, the GRAVEYARD ZOMBIE and BEN, the first two entries in the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD Mego-style figures, are coming. The Black-and-white variant exclusives purchased at last year's Creation Entertainment Weekend of Horrors in Los Angeles are being assembled here in the States and will be going out early next week to all those who bought them.

We can't apologize enough for all the issues and inconveniences this has caused. We appreciate everyone's patience and look forward to hearing feedback about the toys themselves once they're in everyone's hands.
